About this property

Welcome to Wilderness Cabins

Wilderness Cabins offers a collection of stylish, spacious cabins nestled along Canyon Drive in Wisconsin Dells. Designed with casual comfort in mind, the accommodations feature kitchens and fireplaces, creating a relaxed atmosphere suitable for families or groups seeking more privacy than traditional hotels. Many cabins include wraparound decks, gas grills, and amenities like Blu-ray players, although some guests have noted that certain rooms show signs of being slightly outdated, especially in entertainment setups.

The resort includes on-site facilities such as mini-golf, a water park, and dining options, providing convenient recreational activities without needing to leave the property. Its location is particularly practical, just a one-minute walk from Lake Delton and within a few miles of popular attractions like Noah’s Ark Waterpark and Timbavati Wildlife Park, making it well-suited for visitors wanting easy access to the area's entertainment and outdoor experiences.

Guest reviews reflect a generally positive experience, highlighting the spacious cabins and quiet, wildlife-rich setting as major advantages. However, some have pointed out issues with cleanliness and minor maintenance, particularly in bathrooms, while others appreciated the peaceful environment away from heavier resort traffic. Shuttle services connecting to nearby water parks receive favorable mentions for convenience.

This property is a good fit for families or groups who value space and a more secluded lodging option within Wisconsin Dells, especially those planning to explore local attractions during the day. While the cabins provide a comfortable base, future guests should consider the trade-off between cabin seclusion and occasional limitations in modern entertainment features or housekeeping schedules.

It was a nice cabin we had 17 people and it can fit 18 people and we still had a lot of other space to sleep

We go here yearly and love staying in the cabins. Lots of wildlife and super relaxing. It is really quiet compared to the hotels. Plenty of room for our family of 6 and a few friends.

Expensive but probably worth it on a very nice, early spring weekend. The wraparound deck was awesome. Kids enjoyed having a lot of space to burn off excess energy.

This was our first visit of several staying in a cabin and we enjoyed it very much! It was relaxing not dealing with all the foot traffic that goes on in the main resort. Downside is commuting to the waterparks but it wasn’t that bad; the fireplace in the cabin makes up for it. The cabin had everything we needed except a few minor things like dish sponge/brush. The cabin had no radio/speakers to play some music so bring some if you’d like to listen to music during your visit. Oh, and the pillows a pretty hard so if you prefer a not-so-hard one, you might want to bring your own.

Our group was very happy with the Wilderness Resort Cabins! Specifically the 5 bedroom entertainment cabin. Rooms were clean and facility was great! Some parts were a bit outdated, including the entertainment room. The universal remote to use it was not the best, and you can’t exactly connect modern cables/bluetooth to it for video. Audio in the room did not work much either. The shuttle service was great as it got our large group everywhere we needed to go! We appreciated the great hospitality

Was here for a business trip for four nights. Wonderfully clean cabins, and well laid out. Very spacious. Quiet setting nestled amongst the golf course.

We stayed at the Wilderness Golf Cabins. Typical Dells experience overall. Cabins outdated - bathroom was filthy. The jets in the bathtub I was going to bathe my kids in were vile. They tried to come and clean the bathroom at 7pm while my kids were asleep. No thank you. Would consider staying again but will search the area for better stays.

We have stayed three times in the Golf Course Cabins at The Wilderness Resort. The set billed as "three-bedroom cabins" actually sleep 10 in three bedrooms, a privacy loft, and a sleeper sofa. The kitchen is fully stocked with service for 12, cooking pots, pans, baking sheets, serving and cooking utensils, as well as hot pads, kitchen towels, dish cloths, and detergent for the dishwasher and for hand washing. We even had two SOS scrubbing pads. A peninsula with seating for four offers a place to eat any meals you choose to cook on the electric range, or snacks you heat up in the over-the-range microwave. A coffee pot makes a full 12-cup pot with a dispenser to decant several servings of hot, fresh-brewed coffee. Coffee packets are provided. Leave your Keurig pods at home. You can pick up more coffee packets at the Frontier Entrance registration desk. The refrigerator has a built-in ice maker. Just flip the switch to the on position, and you can save on picking up a bag of ice, too! The living area has a blue-ray player for the TV and a two-sided gas fireplace. Outside on the deck is a patio table with seating for four, and a gas grill. No propane needed as it is connected to the same gas line as the fireplace. The master suite has a small safe in the closet to store valuables, a Jacuzzi tub, double sink in the vanity, and a private water closet for the toilet. In all, it is roughly a third of the total square footage of the main floor of the cabin. The second bathroom also has a double sink vanity and walk-in shower. Just behind the entry door is a stackable washer dryer, perfect for drying all your swim suits and towels when you return from the water parks. No need to drive from your cabin to the water parks. Just dial #2, and the shuttle will pick up your party at the cabin door, and drop you at your preferred location. Tips are appreciated by the extremely friendly drivers. The best perk is the wildlife right outside the door. Deer and geese are frequent visitors in the area.
